There were many benefits to living on MacDill AFB. I loved the fact that we could see the Tampa Bay from our family room window. My husband and I looked forward to rounding up our 3 boys, walking across the street and letting them burn some energy before bed time. Of course my 5 and almost 3 year old enjoyed playing at the shore line, burying their hands in the sand and skimming their feet across the water. However, my 6 month old just loved to be held as the evening wind picked up and danced across his face. We just PSC'd to Hampton, VA 3 weeks ago and as a parent I miss the simple and free summer fun that living on the bay had to offer. As a photographer though.....I sure do miss those sunsets =)
I hope everyone is making the most of their summer vacation!

Thank you!
ReplyDeleteThe sky and the sun and the clouds and your story of the image. All of it combine into a beautiful image of a truly remarkable home you had there! (My husband was stationed at Fort Monroe when we were engaged...you can visit the sea wall out there for a bit of this same feeling from time to time. :) )
ReplyDeleteOh what a beautiful and relaxing place to be! I love the gorgeous skyscape!
